On 6 November, the Hokkaido Construction Technology Centre visited CLAIR Sydney to have a meeting with Mr Graham Tomkinson, Emergency Management Officer, NSW Police and SES officer to discuss emergency management in Australia. He made a presentation about the activities of SES.
Mr Kamibo, Director of CLAIR Sydney also made a presentation on the Australian system of governance and emergency management in Australia and New Zealand.
The delegation from the Hokkaido Construction Technology Centre also met with the NZ National Recovery Office and other relevant agencies.
They are currently conducting research on emergency management and recovery strategies in Australia and New Zealand.
