On 21 May, the Japan Festival 2017, organised by the Japan Club of Victoria, was held at Box Hill Town Hall in Melbourne. Around 4,000 people came to the festival and CLAIR ran a booth with the local JET-Alumni Association to promote regional Japan and the JET Programme. It was a great event celebrating Japanese culture with ikebana and tea ceremony demonstrations. It was encouraging to see many visitors showing an interest in the JET Programme and travel to Japan.
