The pre-departure orientations held in Perth (17 June) and Melbourne (18 June), were hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan for new JET participants from Western Australia and Victoria. CLAIR Sydney participated in the orientation and made a presentation about the training and support systems offered by CLAIR for JETs.
JET Alumni Association (JETAA) members provided the new JETs with useful information and advice from the viewpoint of former JETs. We hope that these orientations were helpful for new JETs to relieve any anxiety that they may be experiencing, connect with other JETs and learn more about their new roles.
A lot of people from Australia will be starting their new life as JETs in Japan from July 24th.
