The Send-off Receptions for the new JET Programme participants were held around Australia in July. CLAIR Sydney staff participated in the Reception in Canberra (July 17), Perth (July 18), Sydney (July 22), Melbourne (July 22) and Brisbane (July 26). At most events, the new JET participants gave speeches about their future aspirations in Japan. All the participants were full of motivation and were looking forward to leaving for Japan. We hope that the new JET participants have a fruitful time in Japan and can fulfil a vital role in grass-roots exchange, as bridges between Japan and Australia.
