In Brisbane, from where Qantas will begin direct flights to Tokyo’s Narita Airport as part of the airline’s expansion of services into Japan, the snow show took place for ski and snowboarder lovers.
At the show JNTO made a Japan booth to provide information on Japan’s ski resorts, especially Hakkoda in Aomori, Hakuba and Nozawa Onsen in Nagano. Our assistant director Mr Seino from Aomori prefectural government took part in the JNTO booth to promote Hakkoda.
Many visitors came to the booth. One was just coming back from a Japan ski tour, others were considering going to Japan. We hope more Aussie skiers would go skiing in Japan this coming winter.
