This forum provided participants with an
opportunity to examine how local governments can meet the increasing
demands of communities with limited financial and human resources.
Delegates were fascinated to hear about successful initiatives
from various speakers, and in particular, from the Japanese guests,
given that Japanese local governments face similar issues to
their Australian counterparts.
Our thanks go to the Municipal Association of Victoria, for
helping to make this event such a success.
